I don't know about this specific offer, but I got a credit card from MBNA
about four years ago through some sort of special deal they had going
through the university. I've had no problems with them. I was initially
sceptical because it was one of those preapproved things, and I couldn't
believe they'd give a credit card just like that to a college student with
basically no income, but everything's been fine...
